On the 11th January 2020, The Bhawanipur Education Society College- Department of Business Administration was privileged to have the second largest professional service firms and one of the Big Four Accounting firms- PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) at our campus which was represented by Mr. Nihar Vasa, Senior Analyst and Manager. He conducted a one-hour interactive seminar on “How to be Industry Accepted?” which was attended by twenty-six students and had answered all kinds of questions presented to him. He had then told the students about the selection procedure which included Group Discussion and General Interview on the same day followed by a Technical round the next day. The Final round is to be conducted in September 2020 by the HR Ms. Soumya RoyChoudhury.
The Group Discussion started at 3:30pm. Students were divided into three groups and 5 minutes were given to each group. Topics were- Borderless world is practically possible or not, Is China greater than India in terms of software, and Work-life Balance. Out of twenty-six students, twenty were shortlisted for the General Interview round. The interview was conducted on one-to-one basis with Mr. Nihar Vasa.
Out of twenty students, thirteen were shortlisted for the Technical round conducted on the 12th of January 2020 at 1pm, they were; Kushal Khater, Shabbir Palanpurwala, Prasanta Verma, Siddharth Sharma, Almas Mohammadi, Ritika Lunia, Vinita Adlakha, Taha Nauman Karim, Kunal Daga, DipronPanja, Shreya Gupta, SonalSureka and Anshu Jha. These students were either pursuing Marketing or Finance.
This round was also conducted by Mr. Nihar Vasa, to judge how well the students know their basics about the field that they are currently pursuing. Each candidate was interviewed for about 15-20 minutes. They were each given different real-life case scenarios and were asked to come up with a solution. After this round eight students were selected for the final round with the HR in September after the students receive the hardcopy of their third-year results.
The selected eight students were Shabbir Palanpurwala, Prasanta Verma, Siddharth Sharma, Almas Mohammadi, Ritika Lunia, Vinita Adlakha, DipronPanja and SonalSureka. They were each given feedback individually by Mr. Nihar Vasa on what to improve and how to improve and were then given certificates as well.
The whole event was coordinated and organised by Professor Kaushik Banerjee and students KhizirJaffri and Thushar Venugopal. Overall it was an enlightening interview for all the students who attended. And it was a big opportunityfor students to have – PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) at the college for campus recruitment.
Sweeping the unpleasant discourse of formality under the rug, presenting a workshop just as important but not as serious as the other ones, welcoming a humorous mentor who repeatedly did not give a “damn”, Expressions, the media collective, conducted a Report Writing Workshop.
Wednesday 17th February 2016 marked the closure session of Commerce Plus – a unique six month diploma programme developed and offered by the BESC. The event was graced by BESC Chairman Sri Champakbhai Doshi, Vice Chairman Sri Mirajbhai Shah, Central Committee member Smt. Naliniben Parekh, and Dean of Students Affairs Prof. Dilip Shah.

As the program started, Mr. Manshukhani (Guest speaker, Capacity Building Trainer) addressed the audience with his introductory speech on his professional experiences. He spoke about the steps involved in making a successful business Plan.
