- The College has an online application process. There won’t be any physical distribution of forms.
- After application and payment of the application fee, please keep checking the website for the merit list. Don’t make inquiries with the college, the list will be uploaded on the college website.
- On being merit listed, you shall receive an SMS and email on your registered mobile/ email ID. Please follow the instruction given in the email.
- There is no need to submit your application form, fee challan or any other document to the college office. Please keep them with you for your records.
- Students with compartmental or fail result in Class XII board examinations are not eligible to apply for any courses in the College

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Honours Programmes |
General Criteria
A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the first Semester of the three-year (six semesters) B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / BBA (Honours) Courses provided he/ she has also passed in English, the full marks not being less than 100 and fulfils the conditions given below. |
No candidate shall be allowed admission after a lapse of over five years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognised regular course of studies after passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission shall not be considered while calculating five years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination, i.e., a candidate should have passed the previous qualifying examination not before March 2018. Please Note – Candidates who are already registered with Calcutta University under Annual System (1+1+1 Regulations), are not eligible to apply for any of the courses. |
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from CBSE, CISCE (ISC), WBCHSE (WB Board) and National Institute of Open Schooling, need not submit the Migration Certificate for registration under the University of Calcutta. |
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community taking up honours course must have a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be (applies to holders of valid certificates from the state of West Bengal only). |
Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/ Studies shall not be considered for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account to determine the aggregate marks. |

B.Com. (Honours) |
A candidate taking up honours course in a subject must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (Best of 4 subjects) and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
OR 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Studies, Office and Secretarial Practice, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy & Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy & Principle of Management, Commercial Law & preliminaries of Auditing, Costing & Taxation. |
B.B.A (Honours) |
A candidate must have obtained 60% marks (55% for reserved category) in aggregate and passed in English, having full marks not being less than 100 in Class XII. |
B.A. (Honours) |
Calcutta University Criteria for Application:
A candidate taking up Honours course in a subject must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Honours or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR 55% marks in the Honours or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. |
Please note: B.A. Sociology (H) is not available for candidates from the Commerce stream. |

B.Sc. Economics (H) | Candidates must have 55% in Economics + PASS marks in mathematics. OR 45% marks in Economics + 50% marks in BO4 + PASS marks in mathematics.Please Note: If the candidate hasn’t studied Economics in Class XII, he/she needs to achieve the above marks in Mathematics. |
B.Sc. Mathematics (H) | Must have 55% in Mathematics. OR 45% marks in Mathematics + 50% marks in BO4. Please Note: Candidate must have pass marks in Chemistry/ Physics/ Computer Science in order to take Mathematics Hons. |
B.Sc. Computer Science (H) | Must have 55% in Computer Science + PASS marks in mathematics. OR, 45% marks in Computer Science + 50% marks in BO4 + PASS marks in Mathematics. Please Note: If the candidate hasn’t studied Computer Sc. in Class XII, he/she needs to achieve the above-mentioned marks Physics/Statistics. |
B.Sc. Physics (H) | Must have 55% in Physics + PASS marks in mathematics. OR 45% marks in Physics + 50% marks in BO4 + PASS marks in mathematics. |
