The speaker invited for this event was the young and dynamic climate activist Mr. Ajay Mittal, Director, India and South Asia (Climate Change Programs) for Earth Day Network. The talk was held on the virtual platform of Google Meet and attended by very enthusiastic participants from the faculty as well as from the student body.
The talk started with the welcome note by faculty member Shreya Bhattacharya followed by an interesting lecture by the speaker. Mr. Mittal simply defined and explained the environmental concerns that have been the focal point of much deliberations since the last few decades. The talk concluded by outlining the simple measures we humans can take to prevent local as well as global environmental crises.
