Have you ever designed something? Have you considered your customers thought process when he/she buys your product? Have you analysed how your product is treated at a customer’s house?
Well I am sure the latter two are something we all never thought about.
Not only did one student agree to this, but a full majority never considered these two questions while designing their products.
On May 16th, 2020, an informative webinar was hosted by CS Aerica Sardar, Guest Faculty, BESC with two guest speakers Mrs. Ankita Sancheti & Mr. Anant Dugar to give an insight into basic Design Thinking. Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of the College welcomed the virtual guests and set the mood for the evening by launching the latest song released by the Music Club of BESC. The song portrayed how everyone in overcoming the present situation in their own way.
They spoke about the various aspects in life where design thinking, and smart technology makes life easier. A video was simultaneously used for illustrating the stated fact. The entire webinar was an interactive webinar where questions were asked, and simultaneous answers were given by the students. With real time examples, we went into the brief process of how design thinking works. Several other videos were used to explain how design thinking is being use in the recent times and the way companies are using it to its advantage.
The session was summed up by a Q&A session where career aspects in this field were being explored along with how some relevant present situation problems could be tackled.
It was an enriching session with close to 100 students attending it and coming back to explore opportunities in this field.
