On 8th July 2021, the students as well as the teachers of the Department of Education organised a cultural program. It was an online program which started at 12.15 noon. The program started with a soothing Rabindra sangeet sung by soulful Ishika Raha who left no stone unturned to provide an enthralling and galvanic experience to the viewers. The program was then followed by a mesmerising dance performance by Ayushi Bhattacharya. Next was the portrayal of art and its true virtue, that art is not bound by cultures was represented by the work of Suprirti Nandy. The essence and magic of Wordsworth’s daffodils was presented by the beautiful recitation of Tahseen Alam. Then again, the stage was set forth to the land of melodies with the beautiful voice of Tahseen Alam and Alisha Sanawar. The program concluded with the speech of Aiman Hashim on” Being Yourself” and a short comic drama entitled “Mask vs Sanitizer” by Ayushi Bhattacharya and Supriti Nandy. However, everything would have remained incomplete without the fiery elocution and the beautiful song performed by Dr. Rekha Nariwal and Madhuja Biswas. In other words, they provided the cherry on the cake. The program was hosted by Sanjana Barai and her effective and smooth handling of technical glitches that any online platform encounters proved to be of paramount importance. Last but not the least the technical support given by the college on G suite helped both the teachers and the students to remain connected. Seeing the resilience and hard work of the students, Dr.Nariwal highlighted how these programs help us to connect with each other and renew hopes even in the most shattering of times. And these words, perfectly encompassed the message put forth by the students through the program. The message of unity, the message of art, the message of love and most importantly, the message of hope. The day’s ceremony was brought to an end at around 1:15pm.
Thank you.
