Interlocutor (ISSN: 2583-7915) an online, annual peer-reviewed journal of the Department of English organised a special talk by Prof. Niladri R. Chatterjee (Professor and HOD, Department of English, Kalyani University), as a part of Special Lecture Series, Chapter 1 (Topic, – “Just Good Friends”: The Floating Signifier of Friendship). The event was held on 3rd July, 2024, at the Society Hall (2nd floor) in hybrid mode (both online and offline participants) and was attended by research scholars, faculty members and postgraduate students of premier Institutions across India.
The event began with felicitation of the esteemed guests. Prof. Tathagata Sen, Joint IQAC Coordinator, felicitated the honourable Teacher-In-Charge, Dr. Subhabrata Gangopadhyay, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Anupa Ghosh and the guest of honour Prof. Niladri R. Chatterjee. The honourable TIC graced the event with his august presence. His presence throughout the talk served as an invaluable support and encouragement towards this endeavour. The special lecture continued from 11:30 am to 1 pm and was followed by an interactive Q/A session and lunch.
Interlocutor is an open-access double-blind peer-reviewed journal published annually by the Department of English, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
The journal seeks to invite interdisciplinary research-based academic papers by faculty members and research scholars. The journal commemorates the bi-centenary of Michael Madhusudan Dutta and Wilkie Collins through the current issue entitled “Rebellious Selves and Counterculture and Subcultures”.
