With the theme of “Visa On arrival”, The Bhawanipur Education Society College addressed the new batch of 2023. The orientation spanned from 1st to 5th August, in 15 slots over 5 days, which included 12 slots for B.COM (H) students, 2 slots for BA students, and 1 slot for B.SC & BBA students. The event flow of Orientation, each day opened with the song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon, followed by an interactive video of a college tour for the students. The anchors thereafter were heard proclaiming the year mark cheer of The BESC to set the crowd in motion. The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah welcomed the students with an opening speech that was nothing less than thought-provoking.
In each session, the students were made familiar not only with the college but all its offerings, including the industry-ready Career Connect courses & the 17 Collectives of the college. The orientation made students familiar with all that they can avail right at the college premises. Everything oriented the students towards the freedom of expression in BESC to the facilities provided all within one roof! Each session highlighted one collective by way of performances, bearing testimony to the fact that at BESC the students are instructed in a multidisciplinary way & education is a holistic process.
Once the Collectives were introduced the students were made familiar with the sports & placement opportunities in college by Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, Coordinator B.Com (Morning). Lastly in each slot, the students were informed about the Google form to be filled in by them to be able to select their preferences for courses & collectives of the college. The session concluded with Prof. Divya Udeshi, Dean’s office explaining to the students the Google form submission process. On each day there were around 70 student volunteers assisting the Dean’s office to make this 5-day long Orientation an absolute success.
