With this aim, The NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized an Induction to welcome first-year students to the collective followed by a Seminar by Teach For India ( a governmental NGO from nationwide leaders dedicated to providing an excellent education for all children ) on 21st August 2023 from 11:30 am onwards at the Concept Hall. The event commenced with Prof. Gargi (Coordinator of NSS) who addressed the students through the help of a PPT presentation of the events preceding the seminar and upcoming events giving them a brief introduction to the collective, followed by Prof Dilip Shah, Dean of Student Affairs delivering a marvelous speech and felicitating the guest speakers.
The guest speakers, Ms Riiei Maia Khongwir & Ms Shivika Seksaria (Recruitment Manager ) Avik Chakraborty & Kajari Ghosh (Teach for India fellow and Alumni of The BESC) discussed what difference people make through educating the youth. They even shared a brief description of the internship & fellowship programs Teach for India provides.
The goal of the seminar was to create widespread awareness about opportunities in educating the rural & semi-rural masses of the country. More than 350 students attended the seminar and during the event, several questions were raised by the students which were addressed. The session inspired students to contribute positively to education and society and foster a sense of collective responsibility among them.
On 18th February 2023, 503 students accompanied by 11 faculties went for a picnic to the Ibiza Fern Resort. The journey took off from the college premises in 10 buses with overjoyed students who sang & danced all through the way, making the journey manifold enjoyable. Enact Collective held a 3 day workshop on short film making with the famous director Mr. Debashish Sen Sharma. The workshop was on the 7th -8th of September and was followed by a Competition on Script Writing, Shots and Camera movements, Basic principles of Film Making and Live Shoot on the 15th of September 2015. …
A new phase of Bhawanipur named AIESEC Bhawanipur a student exchange program was introduced in our college on the 7th of October in the college auditorium. Prof Dilip Shah introduced what AIESEC is all about and also introduced the two speakers for the following program, Mr. Mal and Mr. Zubin Rashid.
