The Bhawanipur Education Society College, in collaboration with Rio De Janeiro, presented a groundbreaking event, Knockout 2.0, reviving the tradition of knockout tournaments in combat sports. The College Turf transformed into a vibrant boxing arena, witnessing the convergence of talent and determination from 24 participating colleges. Guided by the experienced leadership of Mr. Montu Das and Mr. Pradip Marik, President and General Secretary of the Chess Boxing Organisation of India, the event kicked off with felicitations to honor their significant contributions by Mr. Jitu Shah from the management. Also present were the sports officers of the College Mr. Rupesh Gandi & Bhavin Parmar. Mr. Ashutosh Jha, a 3-time international medalist and our college alumni, was also acknowledged for his impeccable contribution to the event’s planning. Participants were grouped by weight categories, and engaged in thrilling three-round matches, demonstrating their prowess and agility. Sponsored by AMRI Hospitals, the competition ensured the safety and well-being of participants with the presence of medical professionals. Special categories like “King of the College” and “Queen of the College” added an extra layer of excitement, culminating in Sumit Kr. Sharma and Khushi Lakra’s impressive victories. This event not only celebrated the history of boxing but also embraced modernity, showcasing the dynamic spirit of sportsmanship and competition.
