On 26th November 2016, The NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College attended a seminar organised by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries at 6 N.S. Road from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The objective of the Deceased Donor Programme “Cadaver Daan” was, to understand the deceased organ donation and transplant environment in India – facts, trends, processes, opportunities and challenges; conduct extensive research around historical developments, efforts made and lessons learnt; understand global systems and success stories in the field; and come up with recommendations for action plan/future strategy for growth and effectiveness in West Bengal and India.
Some of the Doctors& prominent personalitiespresents amongst others wereDr. Amit Ghose (Chairperson Emeritus – Health Committee) BCC&i& consultant Urologist, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Kolkata, Mr. Sutanu Ghosh (President) BCC&I, Dr. Aditi Kishore Sarkar [Addl DHS (admin)] Govt. of West Bengal and Dr. Sunil Shroff (Managing Trustee) Mohan Foundation.
At the end of the seminar NSS Programme officer Dr.Divyesh Shah met Dr. Amit Ghose and had a quality discussion over NSS activities conducted by the college and agreed to cooperate each other in the future activities.
