6. Objective of the event: Students were given specific topics from their syllabus so that they can do self-study,research and present their findings through power point presentation.
7. Brief description of the event: The Department of Political Science of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a student seminar on April 30th, 2024, in room number 548 of the college. Academic papers on a wide range of topics were presented by the first semester students . Group A presented a paper on Right to Constitutional remedies as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Group B discussed the Right to freedom as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Group C showcased presentations on Hindu Personal Laws in India. Group D presented a paper on Right against exploitation and Cultural and Educational Right as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Group E discussed about Muslim Personal Laws in India. Group F showcased their presentation on Right to religion as enshrined in the Indian Constitution.After each presentation, the teachers shared their observations and valuable comments with the students so that they can improve upon their work and come up with better performances in future. The teachers of the Department encouraged the students to participate in more such academic activities and also announced the positions that were secured by the students. Group A stood First and Group F secured second position.
8. Outcome of the event: Few presentations attempted to provide a detailed analysis of the topics given to them. These presentations showed hard work on the part of the students and helped them in the enhancement of their knowledge.
BRIO 2016 November 30, 2016 The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata Brio 2016, an Indian Business School (IBS) fest, in Kolkata was held from November 29 to December 1. The first two days of the college event were held in the IBS campus while the final day event was covered at Swabhumi, Urban Zone.
The Street Play was held in the lawn in front of the Common Room. It was judged by Abhishek Bannerjee and Janardhan Ghosh. A total of five team had participated and each team consisted of eight to ten members. The topic allotted to them was Rape and accordingly the teams carried out their performances.
