The students of The Bhawanipur Education Society College had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Dr. Durga Biswas. The lecture was a prologue to an Intra College debate which refreshed the minds of the anxious, war hungry warriors-of-words.
Dr. Durga Biswas’ aim was to enrich the students with a study of man’s nature portrayed and reflected extensively in Literature. It covered themes such as the human consciousness, morality, the difference between man making mistakes unknowingly and man committing mistakes knowingly and hence committing an act of sin.

She ended her lecture recommending the students to read 2 books: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Dr. Durga’s Ocean of knowledge awed the students as they responded with sophisticated questions and thundering applause.
