He advised us to be different, to observe, to be curious about life, about things, about everything, to be a voracious reader and an ardent writer, to pen down our thoughts & to value our own work. He asked us to smile often, take a deep interest in people we meet, observe the smallest of things, love & appreciate nature, respect life, find humors in things we do, spend time with our loved ones, never miss an opportunity to thank & praise others, and avoid work, people, things that make us unhappy.
He read out some beautiful poems which he had composed. He told us interesting stories and shared a few of his real life experiences. We were given a homework on Day 1 which we had to submit the next day and on Day 2 we had to write a paragraph/poetry/short story which was assessed by him & we had to speak on something related to what we had written. He also pointed out the loopholes & discussed a few ways as to how we can improve our vocabulary and writing skills.
This workshop was for the students to enhance their writing skills & to ignite creativity. This workshop attracted students from various departments & they were introduced to creative writing in various genres. The purpose of this workshop was to develop the imaginative writing processes & to express our creativity & emotions in a proper way.
