Cricket
On 17th September 2014, we have successfully completed the Selections for the Cricket (Girls) Team of our college for the year 2014-2015 at the Maidan Ground. We have selected 12 players from our college to represent in the Inter College Cricket Tournament 2014-2015. Captain Shreya Sarkar Bearing Roll No 0246, a student of B.Com 2nd Year guided the players during the selection trials. We have selected 3 players (Girls) from our college for the Calcutta University Team Selection”s 2014-2015.
Basketball
The Bhawanipur Education Society College Basketball (Boys) Team WON the Championship for the Inter College Basketball Tournament 2014-15, beating St. Xavier’s College Team B by 2 points in the Finals (Score 66 points B.E.S.College – 64 points St. Xaviers College) held on 7th September 2014, organized by Army Institute of Management, Kolkata.
Our College Basketball (Boys) Team won the 2nd League Match on 6th September 2014) against Jadavpur University B Team by 42 points.
Our College Basketball (Boys) Team won the 1st League Match on 5th September 2014 against St’ Xaviers college Team A by 26 points in the Inter College Basketball Championship at Army Institute of Management organized by the Army Institute of Management, Kolkata.
Volleyball
On 16th September, we have successfully completed the Selections for the Volleyball (Girls) Team of our college for the year 2014-2015 at the Maidan Ground. We have selected 14 players from our college to represent BESC in the Inter College Volleyball Tournament 2014-2015. Mrs. Ami Soni, our Sports Coordinator had accompanied our players during the selections. Nikita Jain, Our College Captain guided our players during the selections.
Nikita Jain of B.Com 1st Year, bearing Roll No. 1101 has been selected for the Calcutta University Volleyball Camp of 18 girls, to be held in the month of October 2014. The selections for The Calcutta University Volleyball Girls” Team 2014-15 will be done through this camp.
Our College Volleyball (Boys) Team lost a tough match at the Quarter Final stage of the Inter College Calcutta University Volleyball Tournament 2014-2015 against the Chittaranjan College at the C.U. Maidan Ground on 15th September, 2014.
Karate
Shyamantak Ganguly, a student of B.Com 2nd Year of our college has been selected in the Indian Karate Team to participate in the Kumite Event as a Fighter in the 15th Asian Open Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship, which will be held on 20th September, 2014 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Darts
On 13th September 2014 we successfully completed the Intra College Tournament/Selections for the Darts Team (Boys & Girls) of our college for the year 2014-2015 in the Games & Sports Room. We selected 5 boys & 5 girls from our college to represent in the Inter College Darts Tournament 2014-2015. The College T-shirts for the Darts team (boys & girls) 2014-15 was distributed by our Overall Coordinator for sports Mrs. Ami Soni at the Games Room after the end of the Darts Tournament.
Pool
On 10th September, 2014, we successfully completed the Intra College Tournament / Selections for the Pool Team (Boys & Girls) of our college for the year 2014-2015 in Games & Sports Room. We selected 5 boys & 5 girls from our college to represent in the Inter College Pool tournament 2014-2015.
Football
On 10th September 2014 our college Football Team lost a tough Match in the 1st Round of the Calcutta University Football Tournament 2014-2015 against Vidyanagar College at C.U. Maidan Ground in the penalty (score : 4-3).
Table Tennis
On 9th September 2014 The Bhawanipur Education Society College Table Tennis boys Team secured the quarter final stage out of 21 colleges in the Calcutta University Table Tennis Tournament 2014-2015. The Quarter Final match was played against Serampore College. The Table Tennis girls Team secured the semi final stage out of 18 colleges in the Calcutta University Table Tennis Tournament 2014-2015. The Semi final match was played against City College. The C.U. Tournament was organized at the Calcutta University Rowing Club.
On 6th September, 2014, we successfully completed the Intra College Tournament Selections for the Table Tennis Team (Boys & Girls) of our college for the year 2014-2015 in Games & Sports Room. We selected 5 boys & 5 girls from our college to represent in the C.U. & other Inter College Table Tennis tournament 2014-2015.
Chess
Selection Trial for the Calcutta University Chess Tournament (Boys & Girls) 2014-15 was held at C.U. Rowing Club on 3rd September 2014. Samrat Ghorai, a student of B.Com 2nd Year bearing Roll No 854 stood in the 5th Position in the selections and has been selected in the C.U. Chess team for the year 2014-2015. Ankita Raj (Girls), a student of B.B.A 2nd Year bearing Roll No. 29 stood at 6th Position in the selections. Karan Kumar, a student of B.Sc 3rd Year bearing Roll No. 24 stood at 7th Position in the selections.
Badminton
Intra College Badminton (Singles) Championship (Boys/Girls) for the
year 2014-2015 was held at Y.M.C.A. on 1st September 2014 (Boys) & 2nd September (Girls) 2014.
Aquatic Tournament
Calcutta University Inter College Aquatic Tournament was held on 27th & 28th August 2014 at College Square. (Near Calcutta University). Out of 40 colleges who had participated in this Tournament our college Girl (ShehreenZoha) secured 1st Runner Up position in the 50 m, 100m & 200m Breast Stroke Event.
