“Words are power. Words can influence others, evoke emotions, and tell
stories, but it all depends on using the right words at the right time”
On the 22nd of December 2021, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a thrilling Spell Bee competition at Society Hall, College Campus.
The event, which began at 11am, lasted for two exciting hours, and drew a diverse crowd from all semesters and courses. Prof. Dilip Shah gave a welcoming and enthusiastic speech to the participants. Followed by the event moderator, Prof. Urvi Shukla, took the floor and delivered the instructions and rules to the students, who were then divided into teams of two.
The competition was segmented into five rounds: spelling dictation, picto-o-word, paper pen rounds, general knowledge Q&A, and so on. Each team’s score sheets were monitored by the volunteers.
The students actively participated and cleared all the rounds in due time. Finally the event came to an end with Prof. Urvi Shukla presenting the winners of the day with prizes:
First position: Bhavna Jagnani and Sanjana Jaiswal
Second position: Sanghamitra Banerjee and Mansi Shaw
Students expressed their gratitude to the faculty for organising such stimulating competitions.

Umang 2014 hosted the event ‘Debate’ in which 11 colleges participated. Debate was one of the most interesting events of Umang. The event started at 10:30am in the auditorium. The topic of debate was ‘Struggle is not necessary for success’. The time allotted to each speaker was three minutes and an additional one minute.
