The workshop aimed to equip the participants with the required skills to get more accurate Google results in order to best utilise the search engine. The resource person showed us how to narrow our search by specifying the file type, mentioning specific websites and using various syntaxes like similar (~) or double quotes (“ ”). Participants were also introduced to the idea of searching through an existing image using the Google Lens feature. As the participants included primarily young students who are new to academia, the basics of Google Scholar as taught during this session helped greatly in understanding the nuances of referencing and bibliography.
