The Bhawanipur Education Society College has various Knowledge Circles known as Collectives in various verticals where the students are passionate. This helps in the development and growth of the students and provides them with exposure and opportunities. Just like every year, the college organised an induction for the newly enrolled students to acquaint them with their chosen collectives and its purpose. Induction gives the freshers a much needed warm welcome and familiarises them with the new surroundings and seniors.
In the induction, each collective’s representative introduced themselves first and then they gave a brief about their collective’s various upcoming events, collaborations, and workshops. All this instilled in the student’s enthusiasm and excitement, and they are all looking forward to these projects with delight. Prof. Dilip Shah was present at the induction of all collectives and infused in the students a sense of pride and comfort.
The induction program was a great success, and all the new students were able to grasp the true essence of their respective collectives and they now eagerly look forward to actively participate and pursue their passion.
COLLECTIVE AON:
The college hosted an induction for its MUN Collective which goes by the name Assembly of Nations. Around 50 students across several departments flocked to the placement hall to participate in the event. The AON Induction initiated with an overview of the collective wherein the representatives spoke extensively about how the MUN’s function. A discussion regarding different committees and their significance took place. The past activities of the collective were explained, and the students were informed about the Mock MUNs that will be organised in the days to come.
COLLECTIVE EXPRESSIONS:
On the 21st of October, the college had conducted an offline induction for the collective Expressions which deals with report writing and photography. The induction commenced at 12 noon and students of various departments of the college attended it, resulting in an average attendance of 80 students. The induction helped the students to acknowledge the vast fields offered under expressions, where one could use different mediums to express one’s visions and ideas to elaborate any event independently in the form of writings, pictures, and videos.
COLLECTIVE VOX-POPULI:
On 25th October the Vox Populi collective of the college conducted an in-person induction for the newbies to give them a basic idea about how the collective works and what exactly to look forward from this collective. A friendly debate was also conducted for the students who were present there. Discussion about the inter-college fest Communique was also done. The students were briefed about the future plans and events.
COLLECTIVE ART-IN-ME:
On 21st of October the college conducted an offline induction for the freshers to give them an elaborate idea about the collective. The session began around 11 am with an amazing introductory session and several friendly competitions took place. Discussion regarding upcoming events like the urban, charcoal sketching workshops etc. were talked about.
COLLECTIVE STUDENT SHARE SKILLS:
Students Share Skills is a platform for people to share their skills and consequently acquire new skills in a friendly environment. It gives a platform to both who impart and those who learn. The best part is that both the parties who are imparting and receiving knowledge are students of our college. It’s a place where everyone can learn and grow together. The induction was conducted online on 22nd September 2021 from 12:30 pm via Zoom Meetings. The notion of the collective was conveyed to the new students. The students offered few suggestions for new skills that may be learned or taught. Many such out of the box skills were listed down namely life hacks, Indian mythology, kickboxing, chess, foreign languages, blogging and so on. Presently we are offering 25 areas of skill-building.
COLLECTIVE BULL’S EYE:
Bull’s Eye as the name suggests is a platform for people who are interested in the stock market. Here people try to impart their knowledge and gain knowledge about stock market which can help them to grow. The induction was conducted on the 25th of September from 12:30 pm via Zoom Meetings. The purpose of the collective was conveyed to the newly enrolled first years. A lot of enthusiasm was showcased by the students. Students actively participated in a discussion on stock market and crypto currency during the induction and gave a lot of suggestions on what they wanted to learn from the collective.
COLLECTIVE FLAMES:
This collective is a platform for the people who love to dance and are fully dedicated towards it. The name ‘Flames’ means fire and the members here set stage on fire for sure. The collective is all about emotions, energy, fun and most important passion towards dance. The Flames Collective tries its best to help students by providing them a platform to learn dance and express themselves through dance. The induction was conducted online on 21st October from 12:00 pm via Zoom meetings. It was an extremely interactive and very informative session.
COLLECTIVE QUIZARD:
The induction commenced on 25th October at 11:30 am at the Placement Hall. It began like every other induction, by introducing each other and making a comfortable space for the new students. The session started by addressing the students about “What is quizzing?” which was answered interestingly by the students. An informative video was shown, which was followed by a questionnaire that was prepared which consisted of brain-tickling questions. After the trivia was over, the future plans for the collective were discussed and the students were given a brief history of how Quizzard started in 2014.
COLLECTIVE SETU:
SETU stands for Student Exchange Transcend Unity. It is a forum for students to get together, share ideas, and learn about diverse cultures. Its key objective was to provide student exchange programmes; however, it was postponed due to COVID-19. SETU is a Hindi word that means ‘bridge’, so our motto is to ‘bridge the gap’. The induction was held on 25th October at 11 AM via Zoom Meetings. Most of us wish to travel throughout the world, including every city in our own country, or to continue our education overseas. For example, if you want to go to Korea for further education but don’t speak the language, there will be a communication gap that SETU tries to bridge by offering both domestic and foreign language classes. Several ideas regarding future sessions were welcomed and suggestions for how the collective could grow were also discussed.
COLLECTIVE PHENOMENON:
The Induction commenced at 11:20 AM in the Placement Hall with students from several departments. It started with a speech regarding social ethics. Post that an interactive session began between the existing members and the new members, in which the very design of the collective, the motivation, and the idea that made Phenomenon was discussed. Everyone was informed about the upcoming events and how things are going to be done. The Induction concluded with a question and answer session.
COLLECTIVE BEST:
BEST- the Entrepreneurship Collective of the college stands for Bhawanipur Entrepreneurship and Start-up Training. The mission is to help people start businesses and become entrepreneurs. The collective hosted an online introduction for the freshers on October 22, 2021. They were introduced to the collective and what it stands for, as well as the benefits they would enjoy being the member of the collective. Finally, the collective outlined the schedule for upcoming events and group sessions that will take place in the coming days and the freshers were very enthusiastic about the upcoming activities and events.
COLLECTIVE FASHIONISTA:
This collective is all about fashion and glamour. The induction was held on 21st October. The essential activities covered by collective were explained to the new students. They were introduced to new activities in the collective namely fashion photography, makeup, and hairstyling. This induction was exclusively held for the first-year students and the activities and meaning of the collective was explained in detail to help the newcomers get a proper and clear idea of the collective so that they may be integrated with the initiative under this vertical.
COLLECTIVE CRESCENDO:
Crescendo is that collective of the college which is associated with music. Undoubtedly one of the most happening collectives, crescendo held its induction on the 21st of October. It was conveyed to the students what Crescendo defines and whosoever is passionate about music and singing is warmly welcome in the arena. They were also apprised about the various upcoming events which will be organised by the collective.
COLLECTIVE NCC:
NCC stands for National Cadet Corp and the induction for the same was held on the 25th of October. The objective of the induction was to convey to the new students the areas in which the collective operates like NCC camps, parade, etc. The key focus of the NCC being fitness, discipline and a spirit of fraternity, the induction concluded by conveying these areas of focus to the students.
COLLECTIVE ENACT:
Enact is a collective where acting is not just about playing a character, it’s about ‘feeling’ the character. One of the most vibrant collectives of the college, Enact is all about channelizing thoughts into reality. An offline induction was held on the 21st of October where students were heartily welcomed. Several games were played, and queries were answered. The newcomers were also briefed about the various upcoming events and competitions in the pipeline.
