A workshop on Family Managed Business was held on February 11th in the Concept Hall of the College from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event was anchored by Prof. Parimal Merchant, Director Global FMB, SP Jain School of Global Management.
As the event commenced, Prof. Merchant was observed blending in well with the audience explaining them the various aspects of a family business and ways of managing the same. Students seemed amazed and fascinated by his methods of explanation. A video clip was played through which Prof. Merchant trained the students about different aspects of a Family Managed Business (FMB). Towards the end of his explanation, he also advised students on a successful career and how they can achieve it.
“Each one of us has the capacity to own one rose a year”, said Prof. Merchant during his Speech.
Thus, towards the end of the event, Prof. Merchant was felicitated by the Director General of the College Prof. Dr. Suman Mukerjee. Dr. Mukherjee praised Prof. Merchant for his excellent counselling and helping students gain a better understanding about Family Managed Business. Prof. Merchant informed the audience that the Counselling on FMB is an online course and he has already worked with four thousand families in a short span of 4 years. Therefore, the event was a great learning experience for all its students and memorable too.
Post the event Commerce Plus students were handed over Medals on successful completion of the Program by Prof. Merchant.
